The EZ Glide can be used as a stair chair, evacuation chair, and transport chair. Made with a lightweight aluminum frame, the back and seat area comes in either a one-piece vinyl cover or two removable, snap-on ABS plastic panels. With a 500 lb. load capacity (the highest in the industry!) and a large patient surface, the EZ Glide is ideal for bariatric patient transport. And just like Ferno Canada's PROFlexx cot line, the EZ Glide is available in five high-impact powder coated finishes
Personnel will appreciate the ergonomic design, meant to reduce the physical strain of moving patients. The EZ Glide's Track System allows the attendant to glide the chair down stairs without lifting and carrying and provides ample clearance for easy turns on carpet . The four-position extending lift-handles and lift bar work with the front swivel-wheels to provide excellent maneuverability in confined spaces such as stair landings.
Patients will appreciate the greater feeling of security from EZ Glide's center of gravity and fold out footrest.
The EZ Glide folds into a compact position for storage and fits nicely in most pre-hospital vehicles.
The EZ Glide offers several new options such as an IV Pole with two raised positions, and a spring-loaded Oxygen Cylinder Holder which is located behind the patient for easy access for regulator adjustment. The Oxygen Cylinder Holder has a spring-loaded mechanism for quick attachment and removal. These features provide rapid transfer of the patient from the chair to a cot and free up Personnel's hands, allowing them to focus on the transport and care of the patient.
